Changes made for this copy - geometry simplified with a 0.02 degree tolerance (about 2 km), topology preserved per feature, then rounded to 3 decimals (about 110 m); every feature stays valid - properties trimmed: countries keep name, iso_a3, iso_a2, pop_est and pop_year (Natural Earth's population estimate and its year); states and provinces keep name, iso_3166_2, country, iso_a3 and type - a bbox on every feature, for a fast area test Natural Earth shows de facto boundaries at a small scale. It is not an authority on any boundary, it has no districts (ADM2), and its population figures are estimates. Districts come from geoBoundaries or the GeoBit Atlas.
