Crashes, road segments, speeds and cameras

Sao Paulo, Brazilsynthetic data, real placeMaps, charts and report
The question

Where and when do serious crashes cluster, which segments are getting worse over time, and are cameras near the crash hot spots?

A transport authority uploads two years of crashes, road segments with speeds and traffic, speed cameras, schools, bus stops, pedestrian crossings, monthly segment speeds and camera citations, and a corridor review. It wants to know where and when serious crashes cluster and which segments are most dangerous.

What the data was built to show

  • A motorcycle crash corridor along Avenida Vinte e Tres de Maio.
  • Night-time pedestrian crashes cluster near -23.55479, -46.66610.
  • Speeds on the corridor run above the limit every month.

Expected analysis families: hot_spots, space_time, density, clusters, aggregation.
